The CARES Act and Charitable Giving
The CARES ACT creates a new above-the-line deduction for total charitable contributions up to $300. For those who use the standard deduction, you may now claim up to $300 additional on charitable gifts. For those who itemize deductions, the law lifts the cap on annual contributions from 60% of adjusted gross income to 100%
