– Randy Hawthorne of RGH Ventures was recently named Chair of The Boston Home’s Board of Trustees. Mr. Hawthorne, who was elected to TBH Board in 1999, said, “It is an honor to be named Chair, and I look forward to working with Marva Serotkin, President and Chief Executive Officer, and my fellow board members.”
Mr. Hawthorne, now retired, is the Principal of RGH Ventures, a private investment and consulting company. He was also a Principal and Owner of Boston Financial, a real-estate firm based in Boston that was acquired by Lend Lease, at the time the largest U.S. manager of tax-exempt real-estate assets. Mr. Hawthorne retired from Lend Lease in 2001 after twenty-eight years, having served in a variety of senior leadership roles.
For many years he was active in the Urban Land Institute, where he was a member of the Multi-Family Council’s Blue Flight; and the National Multi-Housing Council, where he was Chairman from 1996-1997. He also served on the following boards: Board of Directors of the National Housing Conference, the Harvard Real Estate Academic Initiative Alumni Advisory Board, the Editorial Board of the Tax Credit Advisor and Multi-Housing News, and as President of the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association.
Mr. Hawthorne holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard and a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT. He resides in Brookline, Massachusetts with his wife, Carliss Baldwin.
