The Boston Home Connection to A Technology Breakthrough

The Boston Home was proud to be home to Cathy Hutchinson as she participated in the BrainGate2 clinical trial. It was a great pleasure for the staff to work closely with the researchers on this project, which as the New York Times reports, “is the first published demonstration that humans with severe brain injuries can effectively control a prosthetic arm, using tiny brain implants that transmit neural signals to a computer.”

We are seeing lots of press coverage of this breakthrough research and will keep posting links. Watch CBS News tonight May 16 at 6:30 for more.
